Access to clean water is a basic human right, yet thousands of families in rural Uganda still rely on unsafe water sources such as open ponds, swamps, and unprotected wells. These sources are often contaminated, leading to frequent outbreaks of diseases like cholera, typhoid, and diarrhea, which are especially dangerous for children.
At One Hand Mission, we believe safe water changes everything. Through the Restore Safe Water program, we drill new boreholes, repair broken wells, and install community hand pumps to bring clean, reliable water closer to the people who need it most. We also carry out hygiene and sanitation education, helping families understand the importance of clean water, proper handwashing, and safe storage practices.
